Access Control - Types of Systems
Logiscan are able to provide a variety of different systems from standalone digital keypads to fully networked remote sites. We will, through our design process provide the most suitable system and always endeavour to build in future expansion capabilities so that there is less risk of equipment redundancy. We are able to offer a wide range of equipment from leading manufacturer, and indeed we are not tied to any particular brand, ensuring that we are able to independently provide the best solution.
The type of technology that we are able to offer will depend on certain factors that would be discussed and determined at the design process stage. There are various reader technologies that can be put forward including PIN only readers, proximity readers, proximity plus PIN, swipe card readers. Recent developments in technology and the development of biometric readers (e.g. finger print recognition) have resulted in a wider choice of reader technologies providing high security solutions. Systems can be as simple as a single-door (standalone system) to fully `networked` systems that may be linked across the customers own computer networks. This also enables `remote` buildings to be linked to the system using modem links. We have a range of systems to suit the risks and your budgets.
Electronic Locking Solutions
There are various locking solutions that can be provided to operate in conjunction with access control systems. These range from electronic lock releases, solenoid locking bolts and electromagnetic locks. Each system installed by Logiscan is carefully selected to ensure that the most suitable products are used. Systems are also frequently linked to automatic fire alarm systems so that the doors unlock on activation of the fire alarm.
Door Entryphone Intercom Systems Logiscan Security Systems are also able to provide a large range of audio and audio/video door entry systems. These may range from a single handset for one door to large multi-occupancy systems with over 100 units in large residential or commercial projects. The systems may incorporate access control features in addition to the speech elements and may be linked to gates, barriers or doors. There are a range of systems available and the most suitable products would be carefully selected after consultation and discussions as part of our design service.

Due to the rapid roll-out of new and emerging technologies, all our staff are kept up to date on new product offerings and receive continuous product training from the leading manufacturers. We are also able to provide users, with staff training as part of our complete service package. We will assist our clients from the initial consultation stage, through design to installation and commissioning and also in planned and reactive maintenance and offer a full after care package including staff training as required.
